#Case Study · Brand & Sponsor Integration

- Artist · Brand
- Ricky Star ft. Blacka × Alpha Works (W Series: W89, W39)
- Role
- Project Manager · Production Designer · Storyboard
- Release
- Sep 2025
- Format
- Brand-sponsored MV · Official Music Video
The Problem
Alpha Works was launching a new speaker line with a retro look, and the story had to touch nostalgia — the memories of artists from the time they first started out. The product needed to be clear inside a black-and-white music video without breaking the tone of the song.
What I Owned
Project Manager, Production Designer and Storyboard — connecting the artist, the MV production team and the brand on one line; shaping how the product appears in frame; and keeping both sides in balance when the release plan changed.
Key Decisions
How It Was Made
I managed the project, built the storyboard and directed the production design for how the product appears, and coordinated the artist's MV team with the brand. When the release date moved relative to the campaign plan, I worked with both sides to find a balanced answer: the artist kept the pace to finish the MV, the brand kept enough communication touchpoints — a win for both.
Results
- Launched the retro W Series speaker line alongside an official music video
- Product present throughout a black-and-white MV
Takeaway
“When the frame is already simple, the product does not need to be big. It only needs to contrast in the right place and belong to the artist's story.”
